Job Description
Responsible for the development and implementation of Human Resources strategies in the assigned region (Colombia & Peru), aligned with the organization's objectives, as well as the solid execution of different programs and initiatives. This position functions as a trusted advisor to the organization's leaders in the areas of talent acquisition, talent management, performance management, professional development, employee relations, compensation & benefits planning, and leadership development
Partner and support various stakeholders in key business areas to ensure that business goals are realized while organizational capabilities are developed in a fast-paced matrixed organization. Ensure that the HR function is cost effective, valued, and well-regarded among managers and colleagues.
Main responsibilities
- Support the management team in defining strategies and action plans to facilitate the achievement of Thermo Fisher Scientific objectives.
- Acts as a Business Partner with assigned leaders to develop and realize appropriate people plans to enhance business growth.
- Support the development of manager capability. Provide coaching and feedback to managers on talent management activities including performance management, training and development, organizational capability assessment, strategy, and planning.
- Develops and drives the HR initiatives and process improvement projects for the assigned region, ensuring operational performance and providing guidance to less experienced team members.
- Recommend and implement strategies for developing and maintaining a positive engaged work environment.
- Develops operational mechanisms to ensure compliance with Human Resources policies and procedures in line with the region’s labor law and corporate guidelines.
- Advice on employee relations as required to enhance workforce performance and productivity, identifying, and addressing people and organizational risk.
- Partner with CoEs to facilitate corporate processes such as: annual calibration and compensation planning processes, talent attraction, talent reviews, etc.
- Ensure competitiveness and internal equity by supporting and advising the leadership team on issues related to compensation and benefits.
- Identify opportunities for improvement of processes related to the HR department, proposing efficient solutions and best practices. Challenges the status quo and champions new ideas
- Participate in additional HR projects, as required.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- Degree qualified (ideally within HR related subject)
- Demonstrated progressive experience in Human Resources Generalist role
- Experience of working in a fast-paced and complex progressive matrix environment with a high level of change would be ideal
- Ability to challenge and influence at all levels in the organization
- Demonstrated and documented knowledge and experience in employment law, compensation, organizational planning, organization development, employee relations, training and development.
- Comfortable working in a performance management culture
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal and coaching skills
- Experience with WorkDay would be an advantage, but not essential
- Ability to keep sensitive information confidential and secure
- Travel to other sites as required
