Hourly Rate Range: $26.2406 - $27.2896 depending on experience (not including relevant penalty rates, allowances, loadings etc.)

We operate about 100 medical laboratories and 2,000 patient collection centres across metropolitan, regional and remote Australia. About the role
We are seeking an individual who is highly motivated to become part of a passionate and engaged team. Your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Collect samples (blood and non-blood) with care and attention
- Keep meticulous records for every patient and sample
- Prepare and package specimens for transport and testing
About you
To be considered for this position, you will need to have a great blend of skills, including:
- Show a high level of empathy, communication, and customer service
- Strong time management, interpersonal and organisational skills
- A willingness and confidence to work independently in a solo clinic
- Vaccine preventable disease evidence such as Hepatitis B and COVID-19 are a requirement of this role
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge in Phlebotomy or a Certificate III in Pathology Collection would be advantageous
Training
All of our new Pathology Specimen Collector positions will receive full training upon commencement.

An exciting opportunity exists for a
Pathology Specimen Collector to join our Bundaberg Collections team. This Part Time position will be required to work various shifts between the hours of 6:00am and 6:00pm Monday to Friday, and participate in a weekend roster as required.
Your Duties will include:
Collection of blood and other samples from patients; packaging and dispatching of specimens; stock maintenance; greeting patients and assisting with appointments and requests; receiving and receipting of patient account payments; providing advice on special requirements, preparation and instructions for tests; and compliance and adherence with QML Pathology policies and procedures, and workplace health and safety procedures.
